I am certain it is not Bugatti. Look towards pre war Panhard, such as the Dinamic which was very Art Deco on the exterior. Possibly also Hotchkiss.

Well, 1951 in France, they would still have been using many prewar bits, since it took French manufacturing a while to rebuild after the war. So it may well be a 30s design.

I immediately figured non Panhard. I've got a Dyna cluster in the garage.
thanks, Trent! I was hoping this didn't go down Stampie's medieval sounding rods post and still be unsolved. I lost hope after it being unsolved after an hour with as quick as this group figures obscure stuff out
