I can't decide if I want a 60's - 70's wagon or a 94-96 Roadmaster. It seems like the Roadmaster is easier to find rust free and cheap, and seeing as it's not 60 years old less to go wrong. I recently missed out on this 66 Catalina for $4k
I keep up on eBay, craigslist (searchtempest) , hemmings and facebook marketplace, am I missing any other spots to find vintage longroofs? Swap meets?
The GRM cheap wagon thread now in its 15th page!
I fancy myself mid-late 60's Pontiacs, but that 4k wagon prob needs another 4k(?) worth of work I'd imagine just to be truly roadworthy. I hardly see any around in NJ, they've probably all but rusted away or have been crushed by the SUV boom 25+ years ago. I'd like a Roadmaster or even Caprice myself, it's really the last of that breed and again they're fairly rare to spot, at least around here.
Any interest in a 78 Mercury Colony Park? (mine, located in Scranton PA, can send pics if interested)

You can tell that from a single photo?
To the original poster, drive around your area, look for cars parked in front of houses or on the street with for sale signs on them. Go to local swap meets and car shows. If you don't see what you're looking for, ask around at the meets and shows - like finding a job, finding a car often takes networking. Some people still use printed media - look in the local newspaper or those shopper's pages sold at convenience stores.

You should probably keep beating your head into the wall for missing out on that Catalina wagon.
