Pacing out. What a sight.
Our new ignition coil gave out, but our fuel problem is resolved. We Borrowed a coil from our friends on the Flying Deuce team and are out turning reliable laps. Finally.

Now we know why Bernie Ecclestone and F1 left...
Our race is almost over, we haven't had cell signal until very recently for some reason.
You wusses don't run in the rain?

Jamming the signal so no one streams video?

I doubt it. The FCC would be interested if that happened.
The rain let up (again). Scott's pounding out laps and the car has been reliable after our initial snafu. Finishing up with just one more stint to maximize our time on track.
I am disappointed in Miss Indiana. There are some stunningly attractive woman that come out of Indiana. Remember, most of the attractive people in CA and FL are not from there but rather they immigrate in from Indiana and the MidWest.
Who cares about her? I'm looking at the hottie next to the beauty queen.
And WTG Team Lincoln!!

According to Kevin, Hong Norrth suffered a somewhat serious wreck, though not as bad as the Civic that caught on fire (driver sustained some burns apparently,) and a Miata that required a rescue saw. Be careful out there folks! An ounce of early braking is worth a pound of "HOLY E36 M3 I'M ON FIRE!!! GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!!"
Yeah, we took the picture with Miss Indiana, because she was one of the less attractive women at the party. At some point she had to notice.
We are done with the Mazda party, totally exhausted and heading home in the a.m.
Overall, very interesting experience and good column fodder, but not sure I would do it again.
The car has become very difficult to drive in the rain, but we're just gonna keep plugging at it carefully.
Sunset at Daytona.

Man. hate to hear Norrth had a crash. Are they still running?
And yessir, remember that it's better to be boring and still running than be Mr Excitement in the middle of a crash.

I thought maybe there was another Indiana near Russia, like the extra Georgia they keep there.

If you need a stand in for some of these trips I could suffer through one or two.
