These last few summers MazD has gone off to the UP to enjoy his family, most deservedly so at this time of the ducelings maturation....where upon afterwards the hive ,if following closely, one would discover that a 'NEW' adventure was soon to be in the compound before school starts. Not so much this year .....from what I could sluth/glean, herr Seth took a meet and greet to the peeps in NC(DB13) and Ohio(PATGIZZ) on his way to the UP......be safe, enjoy the rest of the summer and the write up like 'OneLap' will be worth the read....
Spoke to him a few times last week. He’s enjoying UP.
I cant wait till mid August-when he gets back - as he has a life altering present for me.
Seth is always fun. And his kids are awesome. Hope hes having a good summer up north

Y'all let us not forget Ferdinand and the 'Silver Bullett'
I'm doing ok.

Project wise, the Gastropod thing is my big focus for early fall. Trophies and stickers and shirts as well as just organizing the group is going to take some serious energy. If all goes well kids #1 and #2 will finish high school this year, both in odd ways that involve paying for college classes. That has them both looking for and applying to colleges for a year from now. Add that to the part we're paying for my niece's college to keep her away from predatory loan rates, lots on my mind.
Life is excellent.
Those are some killer pajama pants! And definitely still needed for UP mornings/late nights.
I was waiting to hear back as he promised to stop on his way. But I haven’t heard back
Whoa! They have cell service in the U.P. now?
(Joking of course)

Pine trees don't need cell phones
For the first year ever I can get pretty consistent service if I walk out to my deck but only if there is no significant moisture in the air. At this rate we may be able to receive calls inside the house by 2030.

Then it will be time to move a little farther out.

Seth, any pictures from the same spot over the last few years?
My parents place on Green Bay has an incredible difference in the water levels. I know Lake Michigan-Huron is at its highest in recorded history.

When MazD is wearing 'socks' instead of 'crocks' me thinks temps might be a tad coolish.....but that would be a welcome trade off, considering three steps outside here in H'town before sunrise(July thru late September) requires a 'sweat' towel....
