I'm thinking maybe the Continental Challenge? Is that still a thing?
Spec Miata? Though I guess it's the driver's themselves having the buy and sell on Monday to have a car for the next one, so maybe it doesn't count

Nascar. Not because of the desire to "be like the race cars" but because of the endless exposure to pickup truck ads during the televised broadcast. Maybe even more than Nascar...NFL for the same ads.
Motorcycle road racing and motocross/supercross in North America is probably the most win on Sunday or Saturday and sell on Monday u can get
My brain says NASCAR, my heart says endurance racing.
I own a Porsche 914 because #40 in 1970 at Le Mans. It made me love mid-engined cars. I have more than one Porsche because 19 wins at Le Mans.
Perhaps this question is more personal.

or karts. You try one and think "I should get one of these."
Motocross/Supercross
The Yahama 450 was always known as the "blue pig." This year Eli tomac switched to Yamaha and won the championship in convincing fashion now suddenly everyone wants a Yamaha.
I bemoaned that NA$CAR cars were just unrecognizable blobs with advertising. Why would anyone relate a Ford/Chevy/Toyota to a real vehicle? I saw no connection.
However, modern cars are now unrecognizable blobs, just without the advertising. So I guess I lose that argument.
Rallying was probably the closest thing to production car relationship but even those have morphed into weird, otherwordly looking things.
My answer is "none".
The weather tech series with the multiple classes. Kia was doing well the last time I looked. There are a couple British series that the cars look very close to street cars.
There was a brief window of time in the USA that WRC helped sell some cars!
Those days are seemingly gone, or else we'd have that damn GR Yaris!

Wow. Same reason I have a 914, and the DVD, and the poster.
In terms of nascar maybe the truck series as they are more similar to the production vehicles then cup or xfinity.
