Is the sellers name Ronald M.?
My first guess too was Consulier.
Not that the Club Sport is not awesome.
If it were me, I would not rush to fix ac and headliner. Rather, I would draw as much national attention as possible like BMW forums or even eBay.
It is possible the buyer will gut interior and ac anyway.
I bet you can relist the car and net $2k more with nearly no effort.
Smoking deal. The cheapest I've seen one lately is around $2,500 for a rusty one. New headliner is only about $250 or some fabric and a can of 3m 80 spray adhesive. All had ltd slip rears. Will probably need cooling system plastic and oil filter housing gasket. I may have a chip for it still laying around - good for a few extra ponies.

Probably fix and flip. I don't really need a car like that right now. We will see what I do with the GS400 after the challenge, that may be a factor in my decision.
Again, I recommend less fix and more flip. Whoever buys this will know how to turn a wrench.
I wouldn't do a cooling system refresh since it could be likely that 4 cylinder will come out and 6 cylinder (M-style) go in.

I'm not sure with this one. How many stock unmolested ones are out there?

True. How many miles?
I would still focus on making it look good in pictures and draw national attention. Hoping to sell to eBay buyer who flies in or buys unseen and has it shipped.
Looks great.
If you need the AC compressor or any other engine parts, let me know. I pulled an M44 out of one of these and its sitting with all the accesories taking space. Pay for shipping from south Florida and its yours.
damn.. I would be tempted to take that off your hands now. I miss my old 318ti.. a CS would be very nice to have
Can you share the ad? How'd you figure out what it was? Before or after you started the communication? Just curious for more of the story, great find. Jelly.
The interior was the give away and the wheels. I did some research and all real clubsports were produced in October of 1995. When I looked at the car in person I looked at the production date and it was a match!
There's a good following on 318ti.org. A CS will go quickly. I think the number I've seen quoted is like 326 built. The specialty stuff is the interior, m3 mirrors, front bumper cover and side skirts. Interior sport seats computer and snrf. Mechanically pretty much normal with m42 and lsd (small case), but I think the ratios may have been different than base or active models. Only came in red or black. Black are even more rare. If it's a flip, skip the cooling stuff. Just clean and get everything in order.
Any chance that picture was taken in the strawberry fields in Carlsbad, CA?

Nice buy.
I've been shopping for the right Ti for awhile now. Check out the for sale section on 318Ti.org. I'd bet one of the hard core guys on there would be willing to pay you good $$$ for the CS without you having to do anything in the way of freshening.
You'll need to log in to post.
