HAAS is white black red of course, but this one is especially sharp. They are getting more exciting!

And for everyone else not watching, they dropped another trailer for the F1 movie, this time a behind-the-scenes video:
Livery is rarely of any interest to me. They are all rolling billboards. It's basically "So-and-so is driving the orange car for team x" The rest of it is a smudge.
The best liveries are ones you can lay out with masking tape, as that forces you to design something strong and clean.
Ferrari has done very well here. Alpine also did well.
Red Bull, as always, has a splotchy design that can only be applied by a computer.
Aston just needs a little more imagination - throw some yellow highlights on there, it's in the heritage. Just dark green makes you invisible and forgettable.

We have what's called a "city wide" garage sale in town and I've only gone once. But I found a 1:18 model of an old Matra. Couldn't believe it. The vendor didn't know what he had, saying, "it's pre war...$25."
I was thinking "maybe pre end of the Vietnam War" and while I was lost in thought, he said "well how 'bout $20?"
SOLD!!
The springs are even made out of metal. The front driver's-side right wing is cracked, but other than that it's in very nice condition.

In reply to Javelin :
I'm eager to see how they all look out on the track, and at speed.
Luckily, I don't have to wait much longer.

I’d love to see a modern F1 car (so big!) parked next to something like a 917K (smaller than you might think).
In reply to Colin Wood :
I love watching behind-the-scenes movie trailers. I think they make a movie seem ten times more interesting, especially when they show that not everything was just CGI or a green screen.

Somewhere I saw a picture of a 917 LH compared with a 956, what was interesting to me was the overall dimensions of the two weren't that different but the wheelbase on the 956 was significantly longer. I can't imagine doing 240 mph in one of those 917's with a few aluminum tubes (that were known for cracking) and a bit of fibreglass around me.
And to keep it slightly on topic (stolen from reddit)
The Racing Bulls livery and Haas livery are probably my two favorites. I'm just a sucker for a white livery; it really shows the wear and tear of a race, giving the car a bit more character, in my opinion.
Nothing really exiciting or timeless IMO.
I say let the alcohol and tobacco companies advertise again. They brought tons of money into the sport and people can do their own risk assessment on whether or not those products are dangerous for them. Hell they let redbull, hard rock, credit card companies, countries with known human rights issues, and other industries that are harmful to peoples overall well being still advertise. Racing was in its hayday across the board when that alcohol, tobacco, and other beverage money was flowing heavily into the sport.
Plus the liveries were better.
