It's been almost a year and I didn't apologize to ELithion.
We checked out the battery back in College Station and it turns out that a few of the cells had been run dead and hot at the same time, which "puffed" them out. The BMS, to its credit, shut them down instead of causing a major fire on track at Texas Autocross Weekend.
