Who still sells bodies in white? I think Honda still does and would be surprised if Mazda didn't. Anyone else? Bonus points if you have contact information for the person in charge. I'm digging on my end, but since you folks seem to know everything, thought I'd ask.

I know GM sells the Camaro as a "body in white", they had them available for order at PRI, and there is a part number listing in the GM Perf parts catalog I believe. I know for sure that Mustangs were available as well as of a few years back, I'm sure they still are
Are you on a rally car idea still?
BIW means no VIN - No VIN means not street legal - means no rally car!

Well, you just need a legal vin from the same model car, and though you might be breaking a host of laws, you should be good to go. Think of it as a really comprehensive rebuild of a wrecked car. A guy I bought a land rover from used to race Saab's back in the day with sort of factory support. When he rolled a car they'd ship him a new body in white and he'd screw all the bits back to it including the vin. He rallied the 'same car' for a number of seasons like that. Of course this was a few years and a few sets of laws ago.

Ford sells a Raptor R in body in white for competition one of them at least even completed Dakar
A few years ago, a new old stock body shell for a BMW e28 5 series showed up on eBay in Germany. I don't recall what it sold for but it was the talk of the BMW forums for a while.

BMW used to sell the MINI R50/53 as a BIW. I don't know if they still sell the R56 that way. Granted, at this point its probably cheaper to just buy a used car, strip it bare and rebuild it.
I recall Dodge selling a challenger body in white a few years ago for drag racing.

So much want. Makes me glad for the NY kit car registration, which is surprisingly lax.
On a side note, could an independent builder(along the lines of shelby, saleen, ect) buy BIW, and use there own vin? That has been my dream business idea for a while.
