Who's doing a track day in Texas, Colorado, or along the East Coast in the next few weeks?

I need some vinyl or magnetic numbers (preferably magnetics).. who can I order from and pick them up at the CMP event?

if you're doing the HPDE, you can get by with tape … shoot, even if you're doing TT you can get by with tape

I'm at HPR right now Ceca is here tomorrow.

I'd love to do HPR but it was too hard to work it into the schedule. Might do Pueblo on July 18th if I'm running late on the trip home though. I'll try to stop in at FM when I'm in Colorado either way!

Then we can work Grand Junction Motor Speedway in if you want $60 to run the car or we rent karts.

Oh rad! Never heard of that place before. What's the schedule around July 14-17? nothing listed on their race calendar.

How about Thompson Speedway in Connecticut? New pavement on a recently reopened road course from the 70's, not to far from Boston or NYC.

Wide open. It's not a busy track, most of the time it's just available for kart rental and you can take a car out on those days. Just not when the karts are on track, they get stuck in the wheels :)

Red Rock Racers have a track day on the 19th, but that's outside your window.

I'm running at NJMP thunderbolt in the Lemons car on July 10th, which would probably fit in your transit down the northeast coast from the glen to VIR.

That sounds like a blast. I'm envious of your trip.

Btw discovery parts has a mobile store at cmp , at least they usually do. Great guy and good prices. I think he carries numbers...

What's a good place to book a room by CMP? I'm driving up from Palm Coast tomorrow and/or Friday.

there's the scary executive inn kershaw sc (cheap)

lots of folk stay in Camden, about 30 min. south of the track … the only name I know there is the Colony Inn … I'm sure there are others

I stay at the Super 8 (formally a Best Western) in Lancaster SC ( about 30 min N of the track)… been staying there 5 - 6 times a yr for 6 - 7 yrs (again this is the only one I'm familiar with in Lancaster .. I'm sure there are others)

to the best of my knowledge (other than the "Executioner" in Kershaw) there aren't any others between Camden to the south and Lancaster to the north

Last time I was at CMP we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Camden, and found it to be a nice place to stay. Clean, recently renovated, reasonable prices, no complaints. Make sure to have dinner at Sam Kendall's, right in downtown Camden.

Road Atl is the bomb, have fun. Was nice to meet you ,albeit briefly, this past weekend.

I met ross2004 today at VIR and had a blast on track.

I'm heading for Road Atlanta now for the SCCA PDX tomorrow. Hope to make it early enough for morning reg and the driver's meeting. See you there wbjones!

I'll be heading west on Sunday evening and it'll take a few days to get to Colorado. Are there any other tracks along the way that might have some weekday HPDE events?
