Because I seem to have stumbled across a source.
I know nothing about this place, other than it appears to be new and is next to The Chicken Pantry, which is the best restaurant in Bunnell, FL (or for several miles in any direction). While I was there picking up a takeout earlier, I noticed some super-clean P71s parked next door. Like, real clean. I know nothing about the place other than all of the cars that were parked there looked like they had been well-prepped and well-chosen.
It also seems like the secret is out on these. I'm sure these are premium-priced cars, but they also look to be in premium condition, and it sure takes the mystery out of finding one.

By the way, their sign needs some editing. Maybe we can work a trade.
Yeah. We need to schedule a field trip real soon.

So, um, whatcha doing tomorrow? I have a ton of editing scheduled for tomorrow, but maybe I blow it off--as long as our art director doesn't care, of course.
As one editor to another, how much are you hoping to trade for one comma and one apostrophe? Or do you figure to make up the difference in unnecessary capital letters?

In this case, I'm thinking flat rate.

I'd like to get one of those push bars for my CRX.
If you've never driven one, you should at least take one for a test drive to see what the hype on the forum is all about.

The cab company I am at gets them in that condition with out the push bars, and rollbar/cage,working airbags for $2500 or less. They still have the new car smell and around 80K on them. I guess they pick the ones from smaller towns rather than big cities. The big city cops jump more curbs and deal with more chases and can hide some damage.
Now what gets funny (not really funny for us drivers) is one just got totaled out and the insurance company paid out $6400. And right after that the company has decided they are not going to buy any new snow tires for winter (so nearly bald front tires and worn out old snows on the back on the mis sized rims). I am guessing they are looking for some quick cash.
There's a place in Southern Wisconsin that sells low miles P71s in good condition. I directed my dad to their website when he wanted to retire his '92 P71 and get a more recent model. He ended up with a nice 2004 P71 with I think 27k on the odo.
For the life of me I can't remember the name of the place.
I'd like the one with the push bar. That'd come in handy.
Not sure I need a full-on cattle catcher, but I do like the color of that one. It's like metallic dirt.
Make mine one with the metallic dirt color, full on roo bar, and roll cage.
Plain white or dark blue, typical of county and undercover car colors. I know I can't get lucky and get a KSP colored car....
Oh, SURE, this comes up not even 12 hours after I tell my buddy that I need a P71. GAH!
Synthetic, if you think of the place either PM me or put it up. It's a hell of a lot closer than FL.
In reply to stroker:
There's also a place on highway-40 on the southwest side of Indy that specializes in ex-cop cars.
Feel free to drive one back to St Louis. They obviously have a big bin of ice to fill. They can have some of mine. It'll be a trade.

Ha, I was busy doing that tally, too.
And JG, stop waving around your chicken-eating, cop-car-browsing, cruising lifestyle. I can't handle the jealousy... or, soon I'm sure, Tommy's renewed nonstop P71 coveting. Thanks.

Thats OK, Margie. When he obtains one, just send it my way. I've been having withdraws since I sold mine for 199 $10 bills and 2 $5 bills.

You seem to be overlooking how this could get you some chicken.
