I'm amused at the thought of adult men wearing shorts.

It would look like the store was full of giant toddlers.

This is the country that gave us lederhosen.

Spoken like someone who feels that looks are more important that function. Function>Form in all things, including being comfortable.

It's OK, I won't laugh if you wear long pants on 100 degree days. wink

At the risk of going off topic, if you ever find yourself in Kansas City with some spare time go to the Harry J. Epstein Company.  https://www.harryepstein.com  They carry all kinds of weird and wonderful tools and related hardware items.  They try to specialize in small market and surplus products made in the USA but also carry good things from Japan and Europe.

There are places that it doesn't get to 100F in the summer.

I like it here.

I run hot. Even with both my NCs, top down and heater on until it would get to around 40.

But the summers here suck. It's currently 86 and 80% humidity, that's uncomfortable with jeans on.

Don't yuck someone's yum.

Also, spend time in Florida during summer wearing nothing but jeans.

I do. In a shop with no windows.

The "hot dog stand" I really like in the photo. Oddly, I was never allowed to buy something from a stand even though I'm sure the wurst you get there isn't the worst you can buy.  <cough>

Anyway, the name of that intriguing little stand translates as "Sausage Devil."  Kinda fun.

In reply to z31maniac :

Yes, while there for two weeks with the FL National Guard, I only had two times that the vendor did not speak English and there was someone close by that could. I regret not getting over to the Porsche factory and Museum.

Same. I start wearing shorts in March (when I can). And I live in Ohio.

In the winter, we break out the fleece-lined shorts.

I was hoping for more specialty tools you can't get in the States, like the MCM boys are always showing off on their Japan trips.

Laying out lines with a metric tape/ruler is a lot easier when using my brake press because adding or subtracting 5/64" to your measurement for a bend allowance is a lot harder than 2mm. I haven't coughed up any cash for a tape measure yet because it's not something I do often enough, and I think if I commit to it I'd want to commit fully and stop using imperial units altogether, which would be a significant investment.
