I'm wanted to put some 15x8 +0 offset wheels on my chevette. Is there a way I can measure to see if they fit before I buy them?

are 195/50-15s to narrow for these wheels?

8" with a 0 offset will not fit the front without a box flare.

How would I measure to see if they fit?

Start with what you know DOES fit, then use this and a tape measure.

However, I've heard that the 15x8 with a 0 offset won't fit on the front without a box flare.

Plug in what wheels are currently on there, and what you're looking to switch to.

195mm is 7.6". They will fit on an 8" wheel, but will be a little bit stretched. I don't know what you consider "too narrow". It shouldn't be a great feat to get them on the wheel, and they shouldn't be stretched enough to cause a major hazard. But I'm not sure that they will provide as nice a ride, or as good of performance, as a wider tire.
