Any winter tire is not a summer tire. Plain and simple.
I have driven Blizzaks many miles on dry roads and as long as driven sensible, they ae fine.
I don't know where that story about WS-15 in the wet started. simply not true.
Blizzaks work great in deep snow.
Haka's were not proven any better in ice racing than the Blizzak.
I think all of the new "ice tires" are great, much better than all seasons in the cold, snowy areas.

i really like my firestone winterforce snows.. they work great.. ice and snow..
I had them on my Liberty, unstudded, great in snow, not so great on ice.
I'm almost sad that Kelly Wintermark Magnagrips have been discontinued. Time to swap over to hakks in another year or 2. But I need to get some cheap snows for SWMBO's '91 civic... who still makes 13"?

I had general altimax artics on my 95 altima and it couldn't be stopped by snow. and they arent bad in the dry either
in my corolla I did a blizzard with 5 inches of snow unplowed on a highway for 140 miles on the old firestone winterfire tires and they were GREAT. they did suck on dry pavement though.
same car I now have those dunlop 3d's and they are way better in the dry but not near as good in the snow and ice as the winterforce tires. since I drive pretty conservative about 66 percent of the time, I'll go back to winterforce when I get new snows. or maybe the generals since they are an even better compromise. Any performance snow tire will be a compromise. If they ever bridge that gap Ill be the first in line to buy em.
