Well, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to get this job since I wasn't already a full Colonel like they wanted. I followed up with them last Monday and was told I was being considered, which gave me some hope. However I was still pretty sure I wasn't going to get the job given they hadn't reached out to me for an interview. Turns out I was right, I got an email today saying they chose someone else. Oh well.
Can't say I'm not disappointed, that position seemed tailor made for me and was probably the only way for me to get full Colonel.

Thank you for your service! And at my rather advanced age, I found that things that don't work out are not supposed to work out. No matter how hard to push on the door with the pull sign. Or as my Pastor, a Navy Academy grad told me once. Mike, have you considered that the reason that you have never been able to fix the challenge (helping a family member) is that you are not authorized to fix it? He was right. The real prize is still out there and now you are looking for it...
