I need new wheels for the Fiat snow tires, as the flimsy steel wheels are all bent. If I can use wobble bolts on 4x100 wheels there are many more cheap 15in wheels to choose from. A quick search turns up mixed reviews, and since they are going on the wife's car I want them to be reasonably safe.

You can buy TÜV certified ones, so, yeah, we cool. This may or may not hold true if you ever go abuse the hell out of them with an impact gun.

Do wobble bolts have enough slop to allow 4x100 wheels to mount on 4x4" hubs?

In reply to EvanR:

25.4mm per inch, do the math. They work fine for going between 98 and 100 mm circles.

Anecdotal but.... I have had wobble bolts on the Fiat for years and they have been just fine. Your wheels MUST be hubcentric for them to work.

Used them before with no firey crashes. In fact, Toyman used them to put 4x108 Mustang wheels on his 4x110 pattern RX7 and survived. But yes the wheel needs to be hub centric, may have to get some adapter rings.

Let me know which ones you go with. I need some to mount the Panasports on my 500.

Thanks, there are a lot more cheap wheels to pick from now.
