You don't need a car, come in anything, park up and enjoy.
In reply to DrBoost: we will be out at the hanger in Flushing if you want help with the brakes on the 47. I emailed you my cell #.
Headed to Woodward tonight around 9, then again tomorrow afternoon.
There's A TON of nice stuff running around Dearborn today: 409 Impala, 2 different Panteras, a Mk2 Focus RS in that wonderfully potent green.
Couldn't have had a better day to call off of work, and here I am bombing around the hood in my 'Bruick'.
i'm headed to Woodward around 7:30PM today (Fri), and sometime around 11:00AM tomorrow (Sat) with my Bavarian mistress Ursula. halfshaft repair complete, fasteners properly torqued and wearing Loctite Red.
probably going to make one pass North from 696, then park in Birmingham and walk down to 13 Mile.

They always do, then they stay there for a few hours to stop people getting back on.

Then we all get back on after they leave. That's the best time!
Free to meet up tomorrow if anyone is out and around. I live off 12 and Woodward. Meet at berkley front for a pint?
i'm happy to report that Ursula didn't give me any trouble tonight. took forever to get from 696 to birmingham, but that's what i expected. saw one E28, a couple of E30s, and one 2002. no other E12s.
Yes, they did chase us out. Went to Tilted Kilt afterward. Was a good time.
Headed back in about an hour. Blue Commemorative Z06. Flag me down. A friend is DJing at IHOP, might stop up there if there's room. Also want to somehow check out the Dodge display. They brought out some old AFX cars it looks like.
ursula behaved herself on day 2 as well. we got on woodward at 696, went south to 8 mile, then north to about 11 mile before bailing east to Main St and taking that north to 14 mile, then west to Woodward and all the way up to Pontiac. stopped at the McD's across from the new F1 Concourse development and saw an early-80's corolla with a turbocharged 20B under the hood. that was probably my favorite car of the weekend. i should've taken more pictures.
Ended up hanging out @ the Trico/Advance Auto/Dayco area at 13 Mile (benefits of part-time employment there I guess). Traffic was worse than I remember from last year.
Only picture I took that's worth anything to post up here:
It rained LIKE CRAZY late Saturday night.
Perhaps it was just an effect of riding in one of the oddest cars there(the bright green Buick Skyhawk), and only getting one lap in. But did the turnout seem a bit more vanilla this year? I didn't see a single gasser, and not much in the way of not cookie cutter hot rods in general.

Agreed. Turn out was low as was diversity of cars. Still a good time.
