The snow doesn't bother me as much as the damage that luggage must be doing to the paint on the roof.

That said, it IS April 1, so who knows what's real today.

Probably real. Remember this one?

Are you kidding?!

Absolutely I would drive that beast in the snow. I dislike owning any car that I cannot use, so if I was in a position to own an f40 (and not be dependent on its 'resale value' - which of course, I wouldn't own it unless this was true), I'd drive it all kinds of fun places.

Is this the new conspicuous consumption? In order to show how super-rich and "super-cool" you are, you have to destroy something beautiful and worth millions?

Or maybe the owner was about to send it out to be rebuilt into an F40 LM, and figured a little hard use would get fixed "while you're in there?"

The conspicuous consumption argument has some merit, I think, factoring in the 288 GTO farming video. If so, that's awfully douchey.

If he were driving it on a salted, slushy road that would be one thing, but in this case it's just clean snow that's not going to hurt anything. Not really any different than driving the car in the rain and getting it wet.

So am I the only one who thoroughly enjoyed that? Am I going to gear-head hell for this?

If I had the money I wouldn't have a problem with doing that with any car. Would probably be something newer and more comfortable.

I was really hoping when he got to the top to make a campfire, that Clarkson, May, and Hammond were already there around a campfire and comparable $even figure cars with luggage on the roof. When the F40 chap looks at them, they all just shrug.

If I owned an F40, I'd rallycross the sucker.

I mean, it's a Group B homologation special, right? And cars are not statues, they gotta be used in order to be worth anything.

This. 100% this.

Or Clarkson says "I honestly didn't think James would beat a Ferrari up that hill."

It looks like they have turnbuckles holding the chains tight, probably a very good idea

I thought it was cool. I also don't care about Ferraris whatsoever, so I don't really care what they did with it.

If I could afford one AND afford to repair one, then heck YES! But I am not one to stand on ceremony

Side note: that looks to be a petty well groomed course.... as far a snowy roads go.

I think it was groomed, but it was not a road. Rather either an easy winding downhill ski trail, or a slightly uphill cross country skiing path.
