I went to New York this week to do some non-car stuff but, of course, I found some things to share.
Pretty sure the above was taken on Avenue of the Americas--in the high 20s or very low 30s.
I came across the Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS near Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The Chevy and SL Benz were also in Brooklyn--near Retro Fret, a really cool guitar shop.
The M3 was in Brooklyn. It was a stick-shift car.
The GTO was parked across the street.
And, of course, a Miata. This is right near Martha's Country Bakery.
Got a killer hamantashen here--like as big as your head.
Maybe these are safe in da Big Apple, but the latest from CTSV forum is that 'Vs' in Houston are hot to be snatched with a smart phone key fob(RF) intercept bullM36M3 and a roll back waiting not too far away...effen sucks
If you can afford a new Lambo, you probably aren't too worried about what happens to it, since you can afford good insurance and/or another one !
I have seen some neat cars in Manhattan. That city was the last place I saw a running Lancia beta
Hamantashen FTW. My wife makes some nice ones. And it's almost time for her to make some! Purim is coming.

Just because you can afford a supercar doesn't mean you can afford parking.

I've never tried to parallel park any car, ever, never mind a Lamborghini in NYC. I'm guessing that's a particular skillset I don't currently have.

You should try it with a Mac boxtruck
Or a trailer with a Bobcat on it.
I mean it's no worse than the amount of supercars street parked in Miami and especially south beach. Kind of takes the specialness out of it.
If I did have a Lambo, and I did park in along the curb, I would be able to get it closer than 6' from the curb.
I would park one there, but with all the blind spots don't think I would drive it there.

I’ve lived in Manhattan for many years. There are good reasons to street park exotics, believe it or not.
For one, most garages don’t guarantee your car against damage that they cause. They move the cars around constantly and bash them into each other nonstop. You basically pay someone $500-800 a month to destroy your car. If you’re in a neighborhood where there isn’t a garage you know is safe, then you’re often better off street parking and just taking your chances.
Another thing is many garages are underground and have very steep, twisting ramps with severe break-angles. You probably couldn’t get a Lamborghini into most Manhattan garages at all.
Finally, many garages won’t accept cars that have any quirks. For example, I needed to park my racecar downtown overnight. Tried 3 different parking garages and none would accept it because it had a dog-leg first gear. They said they could only accept manuals with “normal” gear patterns. Ended up leaving it an an outdoor lot I knew where the guys working there let me self-park.
Bascially, NYC in general (and Manhattan in particular) really sucks for car enthusiasts.

I saw a white r8 ripping up past the world trade memorial around 9:15 this morning, was too slow to whip out a cell pic. Sounded awesome.

Can anyone identify those tracks?
In reply to GameboyRMH :
What tracks are you referring to? Subway? Trolley?

I'm thinking the ones just ahead of the rear wheel of the McLaren.
On my instagram I posted a couple of Ferraris that are close to a couple of those private clubs for the elites but the strange thing was that each one had alternately the front trunk lid and rear trunk lid popped open a little with no-one anywhere near them loading/unloading stuff. I remember a dude telling me an anecdote from two decades ago that it's apparently a middle East thing but whether that's believable might be a stretch.

Of course. My mind was on the background. Thanks

Being that the car is parked in front of Tompkins Square Park my first guess was that the tracks are from heroin.

All sorts of exotic cars parked on the street in South Beach.

I'd expect to see them in Miami with nice weather and decent roads. I'm a bit surprised to see how many are out in poor weather. I used to regularly see an older woman driving an early 80s Aston. It was always impressive to see her out in snow with the car still somehow looking clean.
In reply to Wally :
Weather wise, sure. But it is weird to see a Lambo parked between two crappy vanilla cars.
It’s also funny to see cars that are capable of around 200 mph crawl along in traffic like is always normal in South Beach.
