On live now on USA.
Great fun to watch so far.
was gonna post that myself
Lally got called in when rain was forecast, currently P3. Of all drivers, Piquet Jr. spins. Lotta dirt racin' goin' on.
Good show
My son just came blasting in the house and told me we need to turn this on! They were watching at work. NASCAR is actually entertaining when they turn both directions and drive on slippery tracks in the rain!
Should make for an entertaining finish since some guys are switching over to slicks and there's a ginormous red cell bearing down on them .
Love the vapor trails off the spoilers an the back strait. Some of the slow motion replays really show how the aero works. Really cool.
Last 7 laps so laps I don't think the leader has managed to keep the lead for more than a lap. The get the lead and then go off track.
Those last 20 laps were an absolute hoot to watch. I can only imagine what it was like to drive. Poor Bubba Wallace couldn't keep his car pointed in a straight line, even when the track was straight.
Most fun I have had in a long time. Taking first place seamed to be a no-no. Get it then slide off. Wallace drove so well up to that point. Others too. How did Hornish survive all of his offs and spins. Blaney did good also. Who is Justin Marks ? He drove a superb race.
Best NASCAR race in a long time. Road course. Dry start/ wet/ dry/ wet finish. What's not to like. Only had a brief glimpse at the tread but those rain tires appeared more like intermediates vs full wets... but not that it matters, maybe it's a NASCAR tire thing.
Woulda bet my beer money on Lally. He drove the smartest and most conservative wet race... until he lost the wiper.
Congrats to Justin Marks, he did say his specialty was wet road courses. Expect to see him move up the road course ladder after that drive.
my stupid dvr didn't record it... i had it set, but nope, it decided that i didn't need to see it... i really, really, REALLY hate the tivo tuner that the cable company has compared to the Hopper that i had with Dish...
of course, there is a very real possibility that my cable and internet died for a few hours this afternoon.. it does that a lot lately..
I had to larff at the windshield wipers these cars sported. Half of them quite working after a few laps. Hornish put on a good show, and Marks was clearly the best driver. I suspect his crew chief has a bit experience with rain set ups.

Yes, and I think it's 3 in 4 weeks. They're in Bristol this week, but IIRC next weekend is Road America. I know for sure it's a road course, not 100% certain which one.
