If you squint hard enough–and maybe close one eye–this Corvette conversion sort of does look like a Dodge Viper.

Okay, we don’t totally understand the appeal either, but to give credit where credit is due, the exterior transformation has been well done.

Underneath the custom…

Why would you do it with such a terrible performing corvette?

Love that it was a Cross-fire Injection Corvette.

There are a handful of C4s running around with Viper conversions, but usually they use OEM viper lights and as much OEM bodywork as possible.

This is actually pretty interesting considering its a C3 and not a C4 - odd choice but whatever - and more interestingly there are no OEM viper parts used.  Headlights, tail lights, wheels, side sills, exhaust, bumpers, etc are all close, but not exact viper copies.  The only part that looks like its actually from a viper is the front corner lenses, and those were just trailer lights even on the real cars because of course they were.

I think I'd rather have had them go the other way: Viper underpinnings with a C3 body.

This is an embarrassment beyond proportion.  I would pay less for such a car or more for a standard Corvette without the body kit.  Someone has their priorities mixed up, right?  I would think a racing body kit would be much more appealing to the market.

That steering wheel needs to be killed from space with fire, but I somehow find myself thinking that the woodgrain dash actually looks... kind of... not bad.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one thinking that.

This is the automotive equivalent of SNL’s old “Bad Decision Family” skit.

So of course we had to share it. :)

So underwhelming.

I'd rather have the C3. It may not be fast by modern standards but it is was and always will be a stunning car.

I never really understood the rebody fad with equally meh cars.

Make your fiero into a C4

It'd be cooler as a fiero.

It's a Cross Fire Injection Corvette. What else would make sense to do to it?

Never thought I'd see my car in print! So cool!  I get all of the hate but let me explain my logic here.

So I was all jacked up on coke and Everclear one night, and this stripper told me her dream was a man with a Viper. Pops had a junkity C3 behind the barn, and the stripper (at the time) appeared to check all of the boxes for a potential Mrs Olemiss, so I had no choice but to make a run at it. Spent the ENTIRE night crafting body panels out of some fiberglass mat/resin and plywood, made my way back to the club with mommas ring in hand, took the lady for a midnight cruise in some dimly lit areas of town so she wouldn't get a good glance, and then got on one knee.

Hate all you want but who's laughing at who now?
