That’s because for the past six months it hasn’t been shared here. :)
I'm not saying that you'll get any special prize, but it'd be pretty awesome to see this run at the next $2000 Challenge.
Speaking of sidecars, someone about one showing up in this Tom Petty video always got my brother and I laughing. It was just so perfect.

Boy is that thing terrifying with the shell off.
A few years back I watched the sidecar races at Summit Point. Those guys are insane. Just saying.

Man, I remember when sidecar racing was a staple of Wide World of Sports in the 1970s. I'd watch it any chance I could.
I actually got a pair of sidecars into the Coatesville Grand Prix this year. Always crowd pleasers.

Anything to do with sidecars is reserved for nutters. Believe it or not, people do trials on these contraptions over ground you can hardly walk over.
My guess is that the chap with the crutches was competing last event.

Not at all; they are one of the coolest classes running.
When I was road racing motorcycles we had 5 or 6 of these that ran. The driver and passenger (monkey) have to be so in sync to make it work. I have a deep respect for these folks.
I saw them race a couple times back in the early 1980s, they were amazing (and terrifying) to watch.

This video is a great peak into what it takes for novices to ride one of these. It's a longer video but a good story of racing these and two guys family history with a BMW hack.
Cant say I didn't consider finding a dummy to ride this one with me when it came up based on the fun these guys seemed to have.
I can't think of sidehacks without considering that there's a surprising number of women doing it. Kinda like drag racing. Here's an intrepid pair from New Zealand as well as two from the USA:

The picture of those two ladies is at my home track; WERA races have sidecars now and again.
And yes there are a lot of women racing these.

That was a fun video. All the more so since I know the track.
I went to a side car festival at Mallory Park in 2002. From vintage to then F1, here are a couple of my favorite shots
I was also thinking this would be a perfect addition to the Nonack collection.

For those of you who don't know or have forgotten:
Strling Moss' navigator on the Mille Miglia, journalist Denis Jenkinson, was Sidecar World Champ in 1949.
In reply to Tom1200 :
Make that world champ passenger. His driver was Eric Oliver.

Both get credit for being champion....... Takes two to tango in these.
