Love the Volkswagen Jetta but wish it had more room to carry all your stuff? Why not this Jetta pickup truck?
This custom conversion features an aluminum-plated bed, roof-mounted LED light bar, adjustable springs and BBS wheels.
A 1.8-liter inline-four backed by a five-speed manual powers this VW.
Find this 2002 Volkswagen Jetta Custom Pickup going up for auction through Mecum Auctions.

I thought that a Jetta cabrio would be cool , basically a Rabbit Cabrio with a trunk ,
But this is much cooler than a Rabbit pickup.
But I wonder what it will bring at auction ? It's such an odd duck will they find 2 bidders to fight over it to push up the price ?

Smyth kit?
I was thinking the same thing. Link for more info: Smyth.
A V Dubba-Ute!
That looks like a nice conversion. I wonder what it will go for...Houston is a day trip away and I recently sold an old car for a little cash....
In reply to Coniglio Rampante :
I think your stars are aligning.
I was looking at Toyota Prius over the weekend and was thinking that there needs to be a conversion kit for you to make a small pickup and Toyota needs to actually make a small pickup on the Prius platform.
Those Smyth kits are super cool. I would love to build one, just don't have a use case for one...yet.
They have a kit for my Grand Cherokee, but it would be cheaper and less dorky to buy the Comanche for sale down the road :)
