Love the Volkswagen Jetta but wish it had more room to carry all your stuff? Why not this Jetta pickup truck?

Although it's already pretty rad, I think VR6 power could make it even cooler.

Great idea wrapped up in a VW package. Colin mentioned the VR6 and yes, that would be cooler, but I like the turbo 4 cyl with a 5 speed--they boogie just fine. This 1.8L isn't turbocharged, is it? That's just not rating high on the fun scale for me. I remember what the NA 4 cyl engines were like.
All that being said, the workmanship on the conversion looks pretty darn good. Kudos to the person who did the work.
What happened to the posts from yesterday?
In reply to Coniglio Rampante :
Good question. I remember seeing them, too. Let me see if I can find out where they went.
EDIT: I found them. Sometimes the forum creates duplicate threads. I'm usually quick enough to remove the duplicate before anyone posts to it, but it looks like this one slipped through.
Apologies for any confusion.

Understood. I was wondering why it was deleted ... thought some "Capt. Political" decided to post random rants or something and caused a deletion...on a topic involving a VW conversion Jettatruck. Sounds absurd, but, the internet, and stuff.
Oh, look, it's a Ford Maveri - I mean Flex.
No, wait, it's a Honda Ridglin - I mean Odyessy.
No, no - it's a Chevy Avalanc - I mean Suburban.
I used to see one of these on my morning commute every day. Pretty cool.
Why do people does this with Jettas? Is it because there used to be the Caddy? Or is it easy for some reason?
Looks like a Smyth Performance kit, they seem to turn out nicely.
In reply to CyberEric :
I think it's somewhere in between "because there used to be a Caddy" and "I want something different then everyone else."
That's just a guess, though.
In reply to Colin Wood :
Getting rid of my VR6-powered MK4 GTI is something I still regret.
Update:
I was bored a few minutes ago so I found the auction on YouTube. I think there was only one bidder, no reserve, and it sold for $4,000.
