Diamond-Star Motors gave us some of the raddest cars of the '90s, and this Plymouth Laser RS Turbo AWD is no different.

The seller notes that the car “does need work in a few areas,” but that’s just part of the fun, right?

Modifications include a “full exhaust&rdqu…

Working the line at Diamond Star was the best part-time job I ever had.
Strange. That car is listed in my small, home town. I do not know the seller but from the pictures, I recognize where the house is. Its a smaller street that isn't on goggle street view.

In 2007, I almost bought a very low mileage Laser RS for $500. I was moving cross-country and week later, and DSMs had a reputation for requiring a LOT of wrenching
those wheels are excellent. Get that ride height down a bit and they'd look perfect on there. The ad says those are original wheels, but I have a hard time believing that.

I remember some of these coming with mesh wheels when new. There was also another stock alloy with big centers and short angled spokes, kinda sawblade-like.

In 1990, I test drove an Integra, a 240SX, and a Laser back-to-back. I bought a Miata instead. Not that I disliked any of them, but the Miata was just perfect. It was a great time for buying a car.
God, this brings me back! I can't remember the last time I saw a Laser. Or an Eclipse.
When I was in my teens, it seemed like these things were everywhere and I wanted one soooo badly. Really great looking cars. Where did they all go? I probably haven't seen one in at least 15 years.

I remember being blown away by my cousin's DSM (Eagle Talon AWD turbo) in the mid-1990s. Basically a Galant VR4 drivetrain in a sleeker package. But the interior quality was pretty grim and the ergonomics didn't work for me.
I was driving an E30 318is back then and remember being shocked by how much faster the DSM was. I didn't know anything about them at the time.
This is not worth $8k. Maybe $4k. It's a rusty DSM with a Chinese turbo.
Huh, You learn something everyday. I always thought the Eclipse and Talon could be had with AWD while the Laser was strictly FWD. Don't know where i got that from but it's obviously not true.
