Your Mazda Cosmo picture gives me inspiration to paint my Mazda Cosmo model a similar color; since I believe all 1,176 Series I and II were painted white.

I also think all were white. There are official photos of some in grey, but they may be prototypes:

(yes, base model.  They are lighter and more fun to drive)

Germany:

(Do you know how hard it was to find a pic of an A2 Golf that wasn't slammed, wasn't a GTI, and didn't have the butt-ugly quad headlights and/or big bumpers?)

Yes, I like these better than the GTIs.  Better real world gearing, I prefer the Digifant to CIS, awesome fuel economy, still the same cracking handling.  And they usually had manual steering.

Oh come on.  You know it's coming.

Almost said GC 2.5RS.  But I had to think, if a genie popped up and said I could have a perfect 2.5RS or a perfect '80 RX-7, I would have to choose this.  Model year is crucial, as there were changes with every model year up to 1984 and '80 had the best of the best.

Sweden:

I would like to say Nedcar S40 because that is probably the best car I'd ever had.  Buuuut...

They're just so.... weird and techno-cool.  They are like Porsche 930s if they were front wheel drive.  Same upright feel in the cabin, same solidity when you shut the door (THUM.), same crappy shifter, ignition lock cylinder is not where you would expect it to be, turbo lag you can measure with a calendar....

If anyone says "but but the MINI was a German car made in the UK", I can just as easily make the Golf my favorite American car because a lot of them (like the one I had) were made in Pennsylvania...

I question my Japan pick. The NSX is freaking fantastic, and a better value.

Aussie? The Holden Ute for sure.
