1987 Cougar - 3.8 liters of velour lined, analog clock consoled, digi-dash wizbang, RWD fury. $250 with 280k on the clock, and a failing transmission. Had her for almost a year. MIne was Navy Blue.

(I'll cheat and follow up with both my 2nd and 3rd cars. Because I actually found an ad for the Sport Coupe, not the Z.)

2nd was a red one, and when I moved to New Orleans with no factory AC it was traded for another 1984 white one, with AC.

The 1988 Subaru GL 4x4 Wagon. 5 speed with 2WD - 4WD Hi - 4WD Lo range (IIRC) 1.8 liter NA engine. My dad bought it new. didn't buy the turbo version...

Mine was exactly like the bottom most pictured, even the same attractive shade of blue.

I picked it up for $500 in 1996 and drove it for a year or two while in high school before moving to a 280zx turbo... I could get over 45mpg with careful highway use and the rear seat was, surprisingly, large enough for all the things a teenager needs it for

I have the original window sticker for my 86

the rear seat option was 500 dollars, out the door price for the SE in 86 on my car with all the options was 17050. Almost identical to what I paid for my mazda 2 out the door...
