Another vote for bronze. Even when they are dirty, they don't look dirty!
Experimenting with a new color:
Rustoleum "Winter Gray". On the can cap it looked like light gray, on the wheels it has a very faint bluish tint to it.
It ranges between $300 and $500 a set to have them powder coated properly. I personally like a "not argent" wheel as well as "not black". There is a guy in Jackson who does an amazing job and uses top shelf components. I want to have the 17" C5 Speedlines coated in Triple Bronze with a high gloss clear:
I cannot justify the cost before getting the stupid thing operational.
In reply to QuasiMofo (John Brown) :
Car first, then wheels.....although I was eyeing some wheels the other day that would fit the ND I haven't ordered yet.
I'll add another vote for bronze wheels. I had them on my bronze Fiat.
They are for sale too and would fit said unordered ND.

I was originally thinking black, or maybe gray, but I'm glad I went with these Rota Titans from a friend.
Or you could fully commit:
In reply to Jerry :
That MR2 was along the lines of what I was thinking, just yellow instead of orange.
In reply to ShawneeCreek :
I'll keep those in mind. I currently have two R53 MINIs that can run the same wheels and tires as NDs.
I've become a fan of black wheels for one reason: you can't see the brake dust. I don't get the bronze wheel thing at all. It looks okay on a blue Subaru (or maybe I'm just used to it?) but I think it clashes on a red car.
Not remotely a Miata, but I do have some yellow wheels:
Mrs Frog loved these wheels because when I came out under the bridge at Road Atlanta she could pick me out of the crowd.
I love the way the car looked with white wheels.
I want to do it again, but on a set of wheels that only goes on the car for shows or street driving. Brake dust was my nemesis.
Brightly colored wheels are like white sneakers. They look really, really good the first couple of times that you wear them. But there's a price behind looking so fly.
It just depends on the color combo, I love the black wheels on my Red BRZ, but I don't think I'd like them if wasn't for the polished outside.
I'm a fan of colored wheels... as long as it's the RIGHT color.
I did an antique bronze on my van and I like it, but don't love it. I wish it were more brown/bronze and less gold, but I'll tackle that when these tires go bald
That deep blue would be fantastic with any shade of grey. Anything from silver or polished up to charcoal. Never black with blue. Never gold with blue. Forgive me for saying it, but if you want a bit of splash to it, look up the Medium Blue Ford did in the late 70s/early 80s. Specifically codes A8715 and A9826. It's that powder blue that so many F150s had back in the day.
My bronze (that I wish were more bronzer) for comparison. I was shooting for closer to the "triple bronze" that bobzilla and quasimofo pictured, but it is what it is for now.
Curtis is being to hard on himself, the wheels on his van look amazing! Love the burgundy with the bronze.
