Yup, it's good to have a 'redneck' friend who has a pick up and trailer when you need to puck up a car 2 states away :) Thanks buddy, but now I've used it I can be rude about pick-em-up trucks again. Seriously though I was stunned how good it was.

Wow, you guys have some crazy lists. I'm 28, married, no kids, but med school and residency really put a big damper on the car hobby for the last 6 years. Hopefully that changes soon!

Current: 2012 Mazda3 Sky hatch AT- wife's/DD 1995 Nissan 240SX, SR20DET

Past: 2004 Subaru Forester XT auto 1997 BMW M3 sedan manual 1995 240SX 1996 240SX

And....that's it. Really would still like to own some flavor of Miata, an S2000, Z06, various P-cars (Boxster, Cayman, GT3, maybe something aircooled), 240Z with a VQ35 or RB engine, 3rd gen RX7, Evo IX, NSX, Elise. I'm guessing that driving some of these cars might really change my mind about them, but that's the list that sounds like fun at this point. I'd love to be able to run through cars like some of you guys do!

In my youth, single with a good job, I bought a new Europa JPS ('74) and later a new GLHS Omni ('86). Married, and spent 10 years each in a new ('90) Legacy wagon and a new ('00) Taurus wagon, shared a Peugeot 504 diesel wagon with my wife along the way. All these were great cars. I don't trade much. Now, wife has an '08 Acura TL and I DD my daughter's old high school car, a '97 Accord, and a Cobalt SS that I also use for track days and I'm really glad I bought my neighbor's excellent, fanatically-maintained '94 325is for weekends.

So, I'm thinking older 911.

In reply to wearymicrobe:

Lamborghini Islero S is not like a million dollar car. a friend has a 1969 down in Fla. for sale right now that he would take $150,000.00 for, he has it listed at 185k and people are not ringing his phone off the wall and it is a very nice example

there was a total of 226 made and only a 100 of the S

2010 Hyundai Sonata LE (V6) - SWMBO car
2004 RX8 - my DD
1999 Miata - Autocross, slowly being modified to race car. Just got it back from daughter when she got her own car (employee lease of 2013 BMW 328i)
1970 Opel GT - Toy/show car and cruiser
1963 MG Midget - Project
1980 Yamaha XS650 - in a corner in the garage

Past:
1995 F150
2002 Camry - SWMBO car
2000 Hyundai Elantra - SWMBO/daughter car
1988 Z24 Cavalier - Daughter's car (both drove it and gave to my son)
1991 Dodge Shadow - SWMBO/daughter car
1987 Renault Alliance - SWMBO car
1974 Buick Apollo (used to teach SWMBO to drive)
1981 K5 Blazer
1982 Nissan Sentra
1974 Pinto
1971 Pinto (1st wife got in divorce)
1963 Rambler

This goes back to when I moved out on my own. Several I owned for way too long, wasn't worth anything when I got rid of them.
Looking at this list, it seems I kinda got shorted. Got SWMBO more cars for her than for myself.
