After a major setback (breaking studs off in the head because I’m stupid and impulsive), I found a 9,000 mile engine with great compression for $150. The owner, a HUGE GS guy adjusted the valves before I got there.
So now I’m back on track. I’m doing what I wanted to do in the first place which is MAJOR frame mods.
This first picture has that awful triple backbone removed and for some reason the pictures are out of order so the last picture is before the surgery.
In between are a few shots of the extended single backbone and a device I made up to stretch the wheelbase 6” while keeping everything square and level.
