Not cafe related but...
Surely some one here can build a grassroots version of this for less than $2k (OK, maybe not with a Harley engine), certainly for less than $48k!
Unless that HD motor has been reworked that thing is way underpowered.
The styling looks great.
That car would look and run better with a Fueling W3.

The original Morgan three-wheelers made do with <10hp J.A.P. v-twins.
The Ace Cycle-Car (pictured) weighs <1000lbs, so the 88B Twin Cam (~70hp/80ft/lb with basic tuner parts) should be plenty of motor. A 103" motor is also available from Ace.
Damn I want a reverse trike, leaving off the extra wheel, suspension, and differential saves so much weight.
Not necessarily. There are lots of rear drive designs, and midengine designs.
That H-D powered one looks like it is RWD, there's a transmission tunnel. The H-D engine is a good choice in that respect, since it is not unit construction, like most current designs.
From Ace's website (http://cycle-car.com/specifications.htm):
Drive train: Automotive all syncro 5 speed with reverse. Dry clutch. Shaft drive rear wheel.
I would have never guessed that they were rear wheel drive. Here is a place that made kits for them, use a motorcycle engine and then they somehow title it as a motorcycle using the donor bike registration.
"The car's rear wheel is powered by various engines including the Honda CX, Moto Guzzi, Honda Pan European and can also be used with an Harley Davidson engine."
'As of my purchase in 2003, the JZR kit comes in 4 configurations and costs:
Honda CX 500-650 V-twin Powered - $5895.00
Moto Guzzi 850-1000 V-twin Powered - $5895.00
Honda ST1100 V 4 Powered - $6195.00
Harley Davidson Evolution Powered - $6595.00"
I would make mine a Honda V4, but the guzzi would sound infinitely better.
