Looks to be in decent shape. Get it running and tackle the Lake Erie Loop.

Yes, it has tubes, and you need them. Check out Dennis Kirk for tires. JC Whitney may still have some stuff for them, too.

Let my know if you're going to do the lake erie loop. I'll be there, although probably not competing with my 450 (ironically a big bike for this competition).

well, to be absolutely honest, my Landlord may (literally) kill me if I add to my collection. But come spring, I may be somewhere else and I might see if you still have it (where abouts are you located?).

If I were you, I'd take off the luggage rack, then leave it stock. Definitely digging the paint scheme. Besides, I'm 6'0" and cafe style handle bars make for uncomfortable doubled over riding on the smaller bikes.

By the way, is this a 4 or 5 speed bike?

I've always assumed it's because the spokes leak...

Oh...and please post what you do find and then how you like them. I'll surely need some eventually.

Thanks, Clem

Your 35 year old spoked rims won't be able to keep the air inside.

Maybe you can find something at Coker:

http://store.coker.com/motorcycle-bicycle-scooter-tires/

Or, post a question over at:

http://forums.sohc4.net/

You may need to convert the original size tire to metric and figure out what the closest modern size is.

You can run tubeless tires, but you still need to run tubes with them.

And make sure that you replace the rubber insulating bands that protect your tubes from the spoke ends, regardless of what tires you use.

From what I can find online that bike originally used a 2.75-18 front and a 3.00-18 rear. Those translate into the modern sizes 80/90-18 or MH90-18 for the front, and 90/90-18 or MJ90-18 for the rear. However, after looking at a couple sites those sizes don't appear to be readily available any more. You may want to stop by your local Honda dealer and have them dig through their books and see what they can find.

edit: you may end up having to go with slightly larger tires, but do some research first to make sure they'll fit and they won't mess up your handling.

Those are really expensive, only come in one of the sizes he needs, and not road legal.

Hi,

I just stumbled across this thread as I was searching for CB200 info. If you are still in need of tires and info on your 200 let me know. I link you to good tires for this bike for under $100 for the pair. I love the red and black!
