Since it is a two cycle engine you can probably double the horsepower with very little expenditure of money. Altered port timing, mild compression boost (don't get carried away here or the primary compression--on top of the piston--will overpower the secondary compression--in the crankcase--and fuel/airmixture won't flow through the transfers as well) and an expansion chamber should make a world of difference.

I'm reconsidering this with my 11yo huffy. My only concern is any form of registration/ insurance it would need
under 50cc = no need as I understand it...
the kit i'm looking at is 66(?)cc
just dont get caught is the best I can think of
doubt the cop is going to pull it apart to check ;-)...
