I drove by the first two at the dealership over in Leeds. The first one looks better in the picture that it is in person. The second one wasn't sitting outside so it may already sold. The dealership was closed by the time I went by. I may try calling them tomorrow.
You're welcome. I don't have ulcers, I'm a carrier.
Dan
The $500 bike is gone. There's another one locally for $450 but it's not in as good of shape. May offer some stuff in trade for that one.
BTW, I told the wife it's your fault if I bring another project home.
I tell my wife it's your fault.
Looking for a seat, huh?

You're welcome.
Thanks. I'm going to hold off for this season, I've spent enough. Besides, history would indicate I won't own the bike long.
Dan
You going to be bored with it by the challenge? Maybe we can work out a deal.
Of course by October something else shiny probably will have caught my attention.

Honda Goldwing - GL1000 - $900 (Eastlake)
Looking to unload quickly! Getting married end of July and need the cash.
A 1978 Honda Goldwing GL1000 - bike looks and runs nice! I would keep it but I am running tight on money and need this sold ASAP. I'm getting married next month and still have much wedding stuff to pay for. Title shows it has 29,xxx miles. I've included a couple pictures. The ones with the windscreen and luggage compartment are from when I picked it up and the one with those items removed is a couple days ago (I still have those items I removed). I picked it up a couple months ago in barter on Craigslist. I traded my ex-wife's bridal set, which I paid over $3500.00 for the rings. No worry - I took them back legally in the divorce. They sat in my drawer for 5yrs. The pawn shop wasn't going to give me enough for them and I couldn't return them - so I jumped at the offer to have another bike. They guy had been riding it so it was plated and current when I picked it up. The only thing I bought for it so far has been front brakes and calipers that I purchased from off of Ebay. I've been riding the bike every chance I get and found no problems with it, other than: It tends to idle high - my opinion a vacuum leak because if I almost come to a stop and don't pull the clutch until it's about 1000RPM. It is fine. But if I pull the clutch then brake to slow down, it'll still idle around 2-3k. So - I've been letting the bike speed slow the engine down and have had no troubles. Just recently (yesterday - 6/14/10) it started running a little sluggish - almost if it had bad gas or something, after a little riding it seemed back to normal. I started it in my garage later and seemed sluggish again and backfired once - from what I've been told, it most likely needs the carbs cleaned. I replaced the sparkplugs two days ago (6/16/10) and it helped some. I didn't notice till after I brought it home but, the title states 29,xxx miles but the odometer shows 27,xxx and then I didn't find out till after I rode it awhile that the 10ths on the odometer work properly, but the rest of it doesn't. I've put about 300miles on it so far (I reset the trip meter each fill up) and other than the 10ths - the mileage on the odometer hasnÂ’t changed.

Naked wings are really cool. The guy I sold my Honda to had a '78 Wing, and I was struck by just how BIG and SOLID it was. These are not cafe racers, despite the look! But man are they cool.
Dan....
All I can say is "Damn You" Like I need another project. I haven't finished the RM250z yet
I'm off to look at this in a few: http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/mcy/1814878411.html
yeah...that one I looked is definitely a project. none of the control cables move, brake resivore bone dry, and the rear trunk being used as a pepper planter
thinking $100 bike? His dad wants it gone from the driveway

just the top off a mangled case....rifle holster is a very cool idea though. I'm half wondering if it was a cop bike
