The second CT70 "Green Bean" is almost road worthy. All that is left is to wire the lights.
The green bike did not even make it a week before it was taken out of commission. I let a friend ride and of course he wrecked it. list of broken parts: Forks are ruined, shock broken in half, and bent front rim. I was able to fix everything but the shock. I had an extra set of forks.
Yeah, I like the bare metal forks too. The replacement forks were red and would have looked terrible so I sanded them down to bare metal and shot them with clearcoat.
Next will be to get rid of the red rims. They were all I had laying around.
Ive been working on a twin screw blower for my atc70. The unit is a vw emissions air pump, it's been done before using this unit, there was a guy with a 2/3 scale replica classic rc-somethinorother race bike (something that ran the isle of man tt?). He was making 9hp@wheel, up from the 3ish a good running one with breathing mods makes.
Nice! Machine a rib in the stator cover and go. A bigger engine would be less engineering but your plan is cooler.
Wow, this looks like LOADS of fun! Do you have them tagged, or can you ride them on the street since they are technically under 50cc? I'm off to hunt Craigslist...
That question depends on the state. In Florida, bikes like this require tags but no motorcycle license.
Gotta show my mini bike obsessed bro this thread... Very cool stuff and appreciate the quality update on the beast!
Very cool... My parents have a ST-90 that I rebuilt in college but unfortunately won't start again. I think it's due for a Lifan.

I don't think that's true? It's over 50cc and should require a moto license.
Oh, sorry, that fact skipped my mind. I guess I assumed they were 49cc because they are so tiny.
Anyway, yes, you need a motorcycle license and a tag for a CT70. A CT49 (does that exist?) wouldn't require a license, but would need a tag.
Getting a tag for these in GA is not impossible but also not as easy as just a trip to the DMV. Honda CT70 is not in the DMV database, they said it is too old. I have to get it inspected by an officer and they fill out a form before I can get a tag. My insurance is $77 per year.
The cutoff in GA is bikes under 50cc do not need a tag so the 72cc of the CT70 missed the mark. I do however have a street legal under 50cc bike. My Honda ZB50
10+ year project! You need to hurry up so that you can live childhood dreams like me. Rode minibikes to get ice cream yesterday.
