I have a red 1975 GL-1000, been sitting since 1989. The engine was locked up but I bumped it over and my hopes were high. I laid the bike on each side for week with PB Blaster soaking in the jugs. It should be better but I have fears long term. Will it burn oil, lose compression, did I score the cylinders?
This blue, running, 1975 is for sale a coupla hundred miles away, for $2500. I would remove all the Vetter stuff, put the new tires from the red one on it, and some other things, and then sell the questionable red one.
Thoughts?
