Has anybody heard of this? Sort of shocked it hasn't been discussed/participated in by one of the crazy people here....

I have a friend who used to do distance scooter events. I think he quit after the days of vibration gave him nerve problems in his wrist.

He said this as if he himself didn't text me the link to this event the other night basically asking for permission to go.
Dang it... I can't find it, but there used to be an account of a big group who scootered their way from San Francisco to the east coast, then shipped across the Atlantic to continue the ride to a big Piaggio event. "Ride of a Lifetime" or similar.
I really want a Vespa, but I'm not sure how much further than groceries and coffee I want to ride it...
Yeah, I think this event finally answers the question "Why did Honda build the ADV150"

There's a YouTuber named Quasimotard who ran the 2021 Scooter Cannonball on a Honda Super Cub and posted a series of videos. Here's the first one - the rest are linked in the video description:

My dad toured all over Europe and a chunk of Australia in a Vespa back in the 60s. Then used it to commute. What he did not do was attempt to cross the fourth largest country in the world in a bit over a week.
From the event FAQs. I suspect this is largely the point :)
...while scooters and backroads are a great way to see America, it is not the most efficient means of crossing the country on a short schedule.
I'll be 61 years old in 3 months.
Why does this sound like a good idea and why am I calculating the "miles per day"?
