Yeah but there are too many engine swaps that get the same or more power, and you pretty much have to use a carb.
16v or 2.0L engines are the way to go.
I bought a supercharger and mounting brackets for my Samurai the other day. 
Edit: One of these.
I've got a few other parts to source, but it should be fun to tinker with.
