The only vehicle where a few damaged body panels make actually add to the purchase price since it means the truck is legit
True story. 2 years ago My next door neighbor had a midlife crisis and bought a 4x4 off road mud truck. His Wife was furious and gave him one week to get rid of it. You guess it. His wife left and I have new neighbors now.
I will grab some more pics tomorrow. Here are the basics.
1991
4 cylinder
Straight axle swap
Dual transfercases
Bobbed bed
38s
Its been beat on but it was cheap. I will change the oil and proceed to enjoy it at one of the offroad parks here in Michigan.
NICE!!! Yeah, my would would be pissed too but whats that old adage about it being easier to ask for forgiveness than permission at times
We have named it "The Red Trash Express". Our first trip to the local offroad park (The Mounds for fellow Mitten Dwellers) is tomorrow.
There is a certain amount of hackery on something like this and I keep telling myself that I am not fixing any of it. It would be like a loose thread on a sweater and the next thing I know I will have a pile of parts in the garage.
In reply to logdog:
Cary a hand full of wire nuts, a 4# sledge and a pair of vice-grips. If you can't fix it with that, it isn't hacked enough.
