Granted these are SPED busses and have been fuel efficient. But with prices where they are I can't wait until they are replaced with EV's.
Right now we have to fuel them ourselves and because anybody can take any bus at any time we refill when they get below 1/2. Which is twice a day.
Then no more driving to the gas station waiting while a pump on your side opens up, filling it and then getting the receipt before you can leave. That's usually around a 10 minute process. ( at least that's all we get paid for).
In the winter we plug the buses in, so it won't take any more time then that. Not having to drive to a gas station etc at the end of the day will be nice.
