I need some measurements from a 2003+ Crown Vic rear axle.
- Hub center to hub center
- Brake rotor hat to brake rotor hat
- Length of upper and lower control arms from bolt center to bolt center
- Length of both Watts Link arms
- Height of the upper and lower control arm bracket from bolt center to bolt center
- Distance from lower shock mount to lower shock mount bolt centers
If someone can get me those, you'd be my new best friend on teh interwebs and I will give you a hug if we ever meet in person.

I have all the dimensions for a 2000 (since I own one) but I saw somewhere that the shock mounts were moved outside the frame and the axle itself got longer and thus has shallower offset wheels to make up the difference? Something to do with the fact the front suspension got changed so they had to mess with the ass end as well to keep it all square.
From my 2000:
- Hub center to hub center - 67.25"
- Brake rotor hat to brake rotor hat - 66.75"
- Length of upper and lower control arms from bolt center to bolt center - Upper = 11" Lower = 18.5
- Length of both Watts Link arms - 22" each
- Height of the upper and lower control arm bracket from bolt center to bolt center - Whole bracket is 9" top to bottom, bolt centers are probably 8" apart.
- Distance from lower shock mount to lower shock mount bolt centers - Right at 39"
Axle tubes are 3" in diameter near the outside and slide into a 4" diameter flange on the differential. Differential is 12" from top to bottom. Differential cover sticks out 3".
If the 2003+ has a 2 piece driveshaft, I need the length of each driveshaft from yolk center to yolk center.

Thanks for the dimensions conquest351. If we keep bringing this on top, someone should answer the call?
Maybe it should be on the GRM portion of the board?
Sure, to help it get more eyeballs, I'll move it to the main GRM forum. If you'd rather have it moved back to Off Topic, just say so.
Nah, it's good here. I'm way too used to posting in Off Topic LOL. Thanks!!
Bump for more views. Anyone?
i'll crawl under mine tonight
One more thing, I need the offset of the pumpkin. That is, the measurements of the axle tubes to see how far off to one side it is. That would be super.
Ha, I can't fit under my Vic. Too much weightlifting I guess. Wish I took my jack stands with me when I moved.

Let's put this back on top. Someone's got to be able to help.

If you don't do your own oil changes, can you possibly get the measurements next time you take to have it done?
I'm changing my watts link stud today on the '09. Let me check
Hub center to hub center - 67.5"
Brake rotor hat to brake rotor hat - 70.75"
Length of upper and lower control arms from bolt center to bolt center - 11" upper, 18.375" lower
Length of both Watts Link arms - D.S. 21.5", P.S. 22"
Height of the upper and lower control arm bracket from bolt center to bolt center - 8"
Distance from lower shock mount to lower shock mount bolt centers - I had to measure center of shock bracket to center of shock bracket - 53" since the bolts come through transversely.

You, sir, are awesome. Give yourself a hug from me. Better yet, get a large chested woman to do it for me. Yeah.

Thanks man! Much appreciated.
You are welcome. What are your plans with that info? Custom hung rear? IRS?
Well, it's to use the Crown Vic rear end in a custom car. Figured since they're super available and all the police departments are retiring them, you can find them everywhere. Did you happen to get he offset of the pumpkin? Difference in lengths of the axle tubes?
