No benefit to insulting someone who's not here...
stroker said:No members of The Hive following the Panthers...?
no one who follows the Panthers will admit to it publicly

Davante Adams demands to be traded in 3, 2...
Actually, the fact that McDaniels is gone might mean he'll stick around. That man has quite a reputation in the league.
Anyhow, I'm not used to the Lions getting OTHER teams' coaches fired...

McDaniels still had 4+ years on his contract. And theyre still paying Gruden

The raiders are an odd team overall, I am glad that someone else gets Jimmy G now though and the 49ers didn't resign him.
I think they should have kept Bisaccia really
Really getting tired of being in a division where everyone is slated to make the playoffs...wont someone please figure out Lamar Jackson's weaknesses before we have to play him?
Also, Shiesty is back.
Sometimes I hate my fellow Cincy fans - yes, Boyd is paid to catch footballs and he failed to catch maybe a top 10 easiest to catch football, in the endzone, inside the last 2 minutes. And then we lost.
But Cincy fans are relentlessly flaming him for the entire team failing for half of the game. A rookie just carved up a sUpErBoWl CaLiBeR defense like a turkey. At times, they couldnt stop a metro bus in the middle of its route. And dont get me started on our crap redzone playcalling...
mild panic is setting in...
AFC North is dominating, if the Bengals beat the Ravens and the Browns beat the steelers they could be on top of the AFC North the first time in like 30 some years
Was it just my market or were all of the broadcast games on the boring side yesterday? Afternoon: watch the Cowboys beat the snot out of the Giants... then the Jets/Raiders night game... (snore...)
In reply to Ian F (Forum Supporter) :
It was your market- the Lions-Chargers game was one of about 6 or so games that was won on the last play of the game, and the games were high scoring.

That was a fun game to watch, though maybe the Lions could have considered covering Keenan Allen at some point.

Welcome to New England... if the Pats aren't playing (and/or playing well), football doesn't exist.
I'd like to apologize on behalf of the Patriots fanbase for that putrid performance in Germany yesterday. Yikes isn't even the word.
I was a fan before the Brady days, so I remember what it was like when the Pats were terrible, but I can't recall when they were this putrid. They are a rudderless stinkfest of a team right now. They are the kind of team that we used to make fun of. The offense is among the worst I have ever seen any team put forth on a professional level.
And I am enjoying it.
Why, you ask? I'm sick of Belichick, that's why.
The Krafts gave Belichick a blank slate to do all the things after proving himself with years of winning. He's the GM, the head coach, and everything in between. He makes all the decisions all of the time. Yes, when things were good (aka when Brady was here) it worked. And that's seemingly because Brady brought that air of being winners to the room that permeated the entire organization. Take him out of the equation and this is what you get.
Bill is a good coach, maybe the best ever to do it, but a TERRIBLE GM. Pats fans have been complaining for years about his drafting, his decision making, his yearly trips to the clearance bin to sign players, and more. In Bill We Trust, they said, because when Brady was here, it somehow all worked. But now, that's gone and he's exposed. He's out there using high draft picks for special teams schlubs that everyone else gets as undrafted free agents and reaching for damaged players in free agency to replace people that were perfectly fine.
And his handling of Mac Jones is criminal! He was a promising player, but after tossing his buddies Matt Patricia and Joe Judge on the team last year, they broke him. Now, he's likely benched, as he should be, because he absolutely stinks. He was never a good fit for this team, and who drafted him? Yup, that was Bill, of course.
Really looking forward to the "mutual parting of ways" and getting back to winning. Belichick has lingered long enough to become the villain, even here in New England.
Well... MNF made up for the other network games in my area that were snoozers. That was a good one and it was kinda fun to watch Russell Wilson show flashes of his past playing style even if the Broncos were helped a TON by all of the Bill's turnovers. The Broncos being able to get the FG squad swapped within seconds was some damn good coaching.
And this week had what - six games decided on a game-ending field goal? Crazy...
Watson is out for the year, when he sat out for the 4 games I figured he was out for the season and needed surgery with his shoulder because of the micro-tears and was a bit nervious about him playing the Cardinals game thinking he would aggravate and be out. Well it took another game to do so. I am not a fan of his because of all the drama and what the Browns had to give up for him. The controversy now is they should have traded for a back up during the deadline. Dobbs is playing well with pretty much no pressure playing garbage NFC teams. I like Dobbs but don't buy into the hype, he is a career back up. DTR who is the rookie QB for the Browns could be a career backup, but he is young so there is a chance for him to be better then Dobbs, and is on a cheap contract, if he doesn't turn the ball over essentially the defense can win games. Lastly I think its a good choice for DTR to start because I think Watson is going to continue to have injuries and he is not going to get better. Since DW has a fully guaranteed contract, the budget is low for QB's and the big cap hits will start the next 3 years.
Who are these Lions? How did they make so very many mistakes, be down by 12 with 4:something left and win by 5? I really thought they were dead when Chicago bled the clock for so long to go up by 12. Especially with Goff having a pretty of day WRT turnovers.
The culture has changed, indeed.

You mean the Fighting Dan Campbells? I believe, to a man they would run through a flaming brick wall for the HC. These are not your Lions of yore.
Any Houston fans here? Let's go ahead and start the E36 M3 talking. I mean ya'll beat the Cardinals today. Must have been tough with them trying to tank for the first pick in the 2024 draft.

As a Michigan fan, it pains me to say it, but CJ Stroud is legit. Gotta think the Panthers are having some buyer's remorse about not taking him.
In reply to Tom_Spangler (Forum Supporter) :
It's ok, we beat him in Columbus. And I bet many of them have pretty high regard of Mr Brady as a pro.
edit- and I would not be sure if he would do well in Carolina or not. They are very different teams- given Houston was pretty good with Watson, he's kind of a replacement for him to step into the team. I don't think Carolina has much of a team to build around at the moment.
As a Bengals fan, I hate our fans.
I remember the Boomer and Ickey days. I also clearly remember the Kijana Carter and Jeff Blake days. I remember all the days since. 2 awesome seasons amid decades of terrible ones, and suddenly our fans are ready to turn on their own grandmothers if the team doesnt get a win.
Bandwagon fans are welcome to exit the ride at their leisure.
