Rented this week in Cleveland, Ohio.  Black interior and exterior, 1.5 liter turbo 4-cylinder with an 8-speed automatic transmission.  Not a bad rental but not the Tacoma sized truck I had reserved.

Choppy ride and it seems it took all 158hp of turbo to fully accelerate everywhere I went.  The engine was low speed or WOT and I missed my usual Silverado vehicle.  Bend head way over to get in.  I couldn't find where to turn off traction control to do proper burnouts.

Would I buy one? No, too small to jump in/out of 10x-15x a day.  Engine is noisy and it's boring and a toaster. It filled the need when the 4-day x 750 mile run cost me $319 out the door.

Typical Enterprise rental car with big booger wiped on edge of back seat.  Interiors are never clean enough.  TPMS came on telling me right rear was low and gas station $1.50 pump said the tire was at 40psi when I started to fill it.

I know they had 1300 rentals this past Monday so I'm good with that $50 discount.

Hmmm, sounds a bit like the original Beetle.

I once asked someone why most beetles did not have vacuum advances on the distributors.  His response was: "when do you ever accelerate at less than full throttle in a bug"?
