That title was pretty much just marketing - in the text, the author rattles off a list of cars that he thinks are considerably worse than the Yugo. Several of them were things that Malcom Bricklin tried to import and wasn't able to, either because the deal fell through or because they couldn't be brought up to US crash or emissions standards.

Is a pretty good read, too. Copies have been showing up at Half Price Books stores recently.
Yep, that book had me wonder why the media was even taking Malcom's "Visionary Vehicles" announcements seriously. It was a pretty clear-cut case of his standard hype machine.
