So that's cheaper than I thought by like $20K. I wonder if they are going to sell a single K900 after this?

It's a tough sell unless you further uprate it then market it as the Kia Maybach or something. I'd honestly pay to see how that strategy turns out.

Did they sell a single K900 before this?

back around 2000 when Hyundai acquired Kia. They stated that stated that Hyundai was going upmarket with luxury and Kia would be the more sporting arm. It has only taken them 15 or so years, but it looks to be gaining fruition

I'm adding Kia to my list of "companies that should totally loan me a car for One Lap". Who doesn't love a mid pack finish?

I like where you're goingwith this.... I'd totally run their Forte Koup Turbo in the economy class, you could take this in the luxo-barge class. How do we pitch this?

Average guys in great cars.

Most people think something like "I should buy something better than a Kia" when the truth is they're very good. Four thousand miles an  a half dozen race tracks in a week will show you just how good they are.

YES! This is our marketing ploy. Now we just need to know someone from Kia USA to help us.

kia is doing a 9 city tour where you can drive cars to do a 0-60 run and a long autocross type course. Also get a back to back drive in a German competitor- a5, 6 series gran coupe, and panamera v6

It’s in Charlotte this weekend. Today and tomorrow.   Stop number 4 out of 9.  You need to register ahead to drive.

If someone said ten years ago that in 2017 Kia would make a twin-turbo liftback that runs 12s, we all would have thought that they were out of their minds.

And if someone said ten years ago that Ford would be making aluminum trucks with 2.7 twin turbo V6s making 325hp, and 350hp Focuses, and turbo four cylinder Mustangs, and turbo 1.5l Fusions, I'd have also said they were off their nut.

But here we are.

I still wouldn't own a Kia if someone else bought it and it came with the world's best roadside assistance package.  They age like a fine milk and I own vehicles for the long haul.

When Wendy’s was trying to sell more of there double burgers the answer was to sell a tripped. I think this may be a similar case of offering something that you really don’t expect to sell a lot of so it pushes the customer to the slightly lesser(and probably more profitable) lesser version while still making it not the base model.

I was talking to a sales guy at our local Kia dealership.  They've sold all 5 of them since they came on lot and have a deposit down on another.

So they seem to be finding a market in the traditional, muscle car south...

I drove a Stinger a month or so ago.  I was very well impressed. If I were in the market for a new car it'd be high on my list of probables.
