Just to make it even worse, I got an email from Freestyle Photo today (I buy my chemicals here)
CineStill has a C41 two-bath process kit out for only $25.99: Kit
No reason not to do it now!

Wow, that is pretty cheap. I sent the one roll I had off to Process One in Kansas. I'll report on the quality if I ever get the film back.
If I start shooting more film, I will definitely consider one of those kits!
Got my film back from Process One today, and I must say, they did a very nice job. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
On a sad note, I also got my X-700 back from Garry's with a note saying that the camera was "not repairable." Apparently, the electrolytic capacitors that fire the shutter leaked their electrolytic guts all over the main circuit board, and that part is NLA. Wah! I was really looking forward to shooting with that camera again. Guess I'll be cruising ebay looking for a fully manual old Minolta body that accepts MC/MD lenses.
I did not need to read this ;-) I was 'this close' to buying a 4x5 camera a few months ago. Decided it was better to work on getting my printer working with Jon Cone's ink.
I'm not reading anymore...........

PM me if you want an old, full manual Minolta SRT 200, I'll send it to you for the cost of shipping.
Failing that, go on eBay and buy a Minolta XE-7, it's a Leica R3 without the price.
Minolta and Leica developed the two together. The Leica has a Leitz shutter, selectable metering and a Leica lens mount. The Minolta has a Seiko leaf shutter, CLC metering and a MC/MD mount.
I have an XE-7 and the shutter is a thing of beauty.
