Best game ever.
I remember being in school when they announced the result, and this in a town were very few played hockey. For those of us who did, it was an ENORMOUS deal. Then we watched the game that evening during the replay. Still exciting to watch not live.
I remember watching that game, as well as the gold medal game that followed. It was pretty exciting.
A lot of the players as well as the coach were from Minnesota.

I was at the University of Wisconsin and working catering when the Disney movie came out in 2004. I was reading a review about the movie when we were waiting for the girls hockey team to eat their dinner when the girls coach Mark Johnson walked in and asked 'whats for dinner?'
I did a stupid face at him and could only point at him and then back to the movie review and then back and forth repeatedly. I am guessing I moved past that stupor and responded but I dont remember.
I remember watching this it was really something. Yes many players from Mn. Herb Brooks went to St Paul Johnson. Seems like yesterday I remember listening to local am radio when they announced he had died in a car wreck. It always stuck with me that that was not the way Coach Brooks was suppose to go out.
