Keep forgetting that we've missed a lot of 70 years ago events. The whole 70th of the Battle of Britian, for instance.
Next year will be the 70's of the invasion of North Africa.
Can't miss this stuff, it's important
A salute to all the brave servicemen and women from that era. And of this one, too. Thanks for all you have done!
Here's a link to a photo archive that documents the attack:

Put aside some of your time and check all the pics and accompanying links.; it's worth it.

The Navy does a great job with their archives, and yes, that site is well worth your visit today.
My daughter married a soldier that was living in Scofield barracks before they married. We sent to visit and got to see some behind the scenes stuff. The Arizona monument is very sobering.
Started to pull out of the driveway before I realized I didn't have my flag up. Had to run back into the garage and get my flag that flew over the USS Arizona on Dec 7th 2001. Thought it was appropriate for the day.
Thank you WWII vets and all that have served since
wow...I cant believe I didnt think to post this...Kudos for the thread, Its an important day indeed!
I flew to Oahu for the 50th anniversary back in '91. There were a lot of vets from both sides there then; probably far fewer this time around.
