Recently acquired a 1995 ford f250 with a 460 well it had a 460 I'm putting a new one in it... the truck needs lots of work. My biggest question at the moment is what to do with the exhaust manifolds. With the engine I bought I have to prove the truck has no codes to activate the warranty. Ik the truck had a check engine light before due to a broken vacuum line throwing an egr code don't remember if it was stuck open or closed. Upon removal of the old engine I busted up those lines pretty good as they are old and brittle. With that happening I was wondering if it's worth repairing them and putting the old exhaust manifolds on the truck? Does anyone know somewhere selling all those vacuum lines? Or would it be better off putting a header on it and deleting and tuning emissions? Ik banks does not make there headers for the truck any more. Any other suggestions for headers? The truck needs other exhaust work regardless (it got the muffler sawzall treatment). I don't mind loud just want to find out the best way to get this thing going. TIA

As a 95 is it OBD1 or OBD2?  Lotta OBD1 stuff doesnt throw codes for emissions. The EGR Stuck code could likely have been the valve itself and the vehicle wouldnt care if it was attached or not, just that it would move to the desired position when it was commanded.

EGR codes of that era Ford are almost exclusively the EGR pressure sensor.

Re-plumbing the crusty hard lines that Ford loved so much is not a really big deal, as long as the vacuum hose routing diagram is still legible.
