While knocking around of FB, I came across a car that struck me as winning the title of: The Car That No One is Looking For
2014 (only 11 years old)
87k (low miles for its age)
$5,995 (from a dealership, which seems cheap and could possibly be lower)
The dealership has had the car so long that the pictures are from the summertime.
I ended up with one in Italy back in 2017 with a diesel and a stick. It really wasn't bad for tooling around Tuscany - though it would have been hard to ruin that trip.
Just kidding, it looks like ours was the slightly smaller but more charming 500x, not the 500l
In reply to cmcgregor (Forum Supporter) :
That is a 500x, the more true SUV version. A chassis mate to the Jeep Renegade.
This one is the 500L which was more intended to be the stretch version of the 500.
But, it could also be said that the 500x was the evolution of the 500L, redesigned to be more SUV and less quirky.

Manual trans + Fiat is what's causing that car to rot
Less than 1 in 5 Americans can drive stick (Report: Only 18 Percent Of Americans Can Drive Manual - CBS Minnesota)
Then think about the demographics...I'd bet a lot of money that 18% is heavy skewed towards Boomers, who can drive stick but no longer want to.
Only 1 in 5?! Wow, I would have assumed it was higher than that!
Seems like a car I would want, except the Fiat part. Cheap ish, MT, fairly useable, might be sort of fun to drive.
Those a-pillars look like a problem to me. Huge!

Kind of an odd feature.
Would be cooler if it was an awd with the manual.

You want to know the stupid thing? I know someone that would buy that. Today.
She doesn't have the finances (or a driver's license) but she's hellbent on owning a fiat. Any fiat.

Actually no, being a manual makes it only slightly less compatible with younger buyers' driving capabilities, but much more appealing to younger buyers. Remember that an H-pattern is really only a boomer purchase deterrent device:

I made an offer on it.
Seriously! It was a bad offer but still.

Too bad they don't open like real vent windows.
Just hearing my cousin who worked as a dealership mechanic talk about the absolute horror stories this platform had... I totally understand why it sits.

No lie. If that 500L was in the PNW I would probably go buy it.
The original Fiat Cinquecento (500) is smaller than that. Once when I was in Italy I watched a race of only 500's. Those guys all thought they were Juan Fangio.
My memory of Italian drivers is that when a red light turn green in Rome everyone floors it. Formula One start. Also riding in a taxi from the Rome airport on a business trip where the taxi driver hit 165 kph while yelling out the window at other taxi drivers. The guy with me didn't realize we were going over 100 mph until I told him.
